2.5 and 3 Year Olds

TEDS 2.5 and 3 year old classrooms offer a nurturing, creative curriculum play-based learning environment focused on developing independence, emotional and social skills, along with early literacy, math, science, social studies and cognitive skills.  Each classroom includes: dramatic play, sensory tables, block building, art, puzzles and reading areas all in an organized group setting to encourage their young minds to explore.  Daily routines consist of music, library, gym and playground.  Our young students have nap/rest time after lunch to fuel their energy for the second half of the day. Our programs support the development of self care in a playful, responsive and an inviting atmosphere. Students do not need to be potty trained.  When the child is ready, staff will work with the children and parents to create a successful potty training experience.

Pre - K  4

TEDS Pre-K 4 classrooms offer an organized yet play-based environment for our students that is designed to promote social emotional growth, self-reliance and kindergarten preparation. With our Creative Curriculum and academic focus, Pre-K 4 will learn early literacy, math, science and social studies.  Each classroom is designed to open a students imagination with dramatic play, puzzles, books, building blocks and arts and crafts.  Also included on a weekly schedule are specials, gym, art, library and playground.

Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional or Jr Kindergarten is a developmentally appropriate program designed for children who are not yet ready for traditional kindergarten, providing them with an extra year to develop essential skills in a supportive environment.

Transitional Kindergarten serves as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten, specifically designed for children who are older fours and younger fives.  The primary goal is to prepare students for kindergarten.  This would include: social emotional skills, academic readiness and confidence building.  Eligibility depends on the child's birthday.  Children who turn five between October and March are eligible.  This program is beneficial for children who miss the kindergarten cut-off date or those who need additional time to develop rediness skills.

This program will feature a more structured curriculum than Pre-K 4, incorporating modified kindergarten standards.

Transitional kindergarten provides children with time and support they need to thrive in their early education journey.  This program will help provide a strong foundation for the future.
